LIBERIA SHINES AT SURFING COMPETITION IN CÔTE D’IVOIRE

Liberia has recorded an impressive performance at an ongoing international surfing competition in Côte d’Ivoire, with standout achievements in both the junior and female categories.

In the junior division, Liberia’s rising star, Augustine Racan Trogbe, delivered an excellent performance to secure a place in the final round, marking a significant milestone for the country’s growing presence in the sport.

While in the female category, Harriet R. Sarlie also made the nation proud. Following a highly competitive 30-minute performance session, she was selected among the top five female surfers, earning Liberia a place among the competition’s elite performers.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Atty. Cornelia W. Kruah, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the athletes for their outstanding achievements. 

She praised their determination, resilience, and commitment to representing Liberia with pride on the international stage.
“These accomplishments demonstrate the immense potential of our young people in sports, including emerging disciplines like surfing. We are proud of Augustine and Harriet for flying the Liberian flag Minister Kruah stated.
This achievements reflect Liberia’s increasing competitiveness in surfing and underscore the talent and dedication of its young athletes.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports wishes the athletes continued success as the competition progresses.
