Liberia Football Delegation Returns Home After Impressive China Tour

The Liberian football delegation has safely returned home following a highly successful tour of the People’s Republic of China, where the team delivered outstanding performances in the Village Super League friendly matches held in Rongjiang County.

The delegation arrived on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Roberts International Airport after transiting through Addis Ababa, bringing to a close a rewarding international engagement that showcased Liberia’s emerging football talent.

Upon arrival in the country, the delegation proceeded to the SKD Sports Complex, where they were received by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Atty. Cornelia W. Kruah. The team formally briefs the Minister on their tour and shares highlights of their achievements.

The delegation comprised 15 players selected from the 2025/2026 National County Sports Meet—each proudly representing their respective counties—the squad demonstrated unity, skill, and competitive excellence throughout the tour.

The successful tour not only reflects the players’ dedication and performance but also reinforces Liberia’s commitment to expanding its presence and competitiveness on the international football stage.
