French Sports Executive and Scout Arrive in Liberia for Follow-Up Engagement Following Minister Kruah’s Paris Working Visit.
MONROVIA — The Ministry of Youth and Sports announces the arrival of Mr. Farid Adjaoud, Managing Partner of Adjaoud Consulting and lead representative of the potential Cluj Academy Liberia initiative, who touched down at Roberts International Airport on Sunday, June 21, 2026. Mr. Adjaoud is accompanied by Mr. Mohammed Diallo, Liberian Scout and Sports Advisor to the Embassy of the Republic of Liberia in France.
The visit is a direct follow-up to the April 2026 Paris Working Visit of Atty. Cornelia Wonkerleh Kruah, Minister of Youth and Sports, during which Minister Kruah convened a series of high-level engagements with European sports institutions, club leadership, and investment partners at the Embassy of Liberia in Paris. Mr. Adjaoud is the first partner from that diplomatic mission to make the commitment to visit Liberia in person and engage on the ground.
Adjaoud Consulting, established in France in 2018, operates as a specialized sports strategy and player management firm with active engagement across African football markets, including existing academy operations in Kenya, Rwanda, and an initiative underway in Burkina Faso. The firm is the strategic coordinator of the proposed Cluj Academy Liberia project — a private youth football and education center linked to CFR 1907 Cluj, one of Romania's most decorated football clubs. Founded in 1907, CFR Cluj has secured eight Liga I titles, three UEFA Champions League group stage appearances, and three UEFA Europa League group stage qualifications, establishing itself as one of Eastern Europe's most respected clubs at the continental level.
During his four-day visit, Mr. Adjaoud will hold formal meetings with Minister Kruah and senior Ministry officials to advance discussions on the proposed Cluj Academy Liberia framework. He will also meet with Mr. Mustapha I. Raji, President of the Liberia Football Association and his leadership team, to explore the institutional and sports governance dimensions of the initiative.
In addition, Mr. Adjaoud and Mr. Diallo will conduct a targeted scouting mission, meeting directly with Liberian clubs, coaches, and players to assess talent and evaluate conditions for a potential academy investment in the country.
The visit carries dual significance: it advances a concrete sports infrastructure and youth development investment opportunity for Liberia, and it validates the strategic outcomes of Minister Kruah's Paris engagement — demonstrating that the Ministry's diplomatic outreach is translating into real partnerships and ground-level action.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports extends appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Teeko Tozay Yorlay, Ambassador of the Republic of Liberia to France, and to Mr. Mohammed Diallo for facilitating this engagement, and looks forward to productive outcomes from Mr. Adjaoud's visit.
